NATURE PRESERVES
BROOKER CREEK
The preserve offers free nature hikes on weekends and features a scenic six-mile horseback trail.

CALADESI ISLAND
Accessible only by boat, this is one of the state's few remaining undisturbed barrier islands and the nation's top-ranked beach in 2008. Caladesi is ideal for swimming, shelling, fishing and picnics. Nature lovers will enjoy the 3-mile nature trail or paddling through the mangroves and canals. Take the ferry from Honeymoon Island or tie up your own boat at the docks.

WEEDON ISLAND PRESERVE
