As the summer fades temperatures are perfect for outdoor festivals in the St. Pete/Clearwater area. Enjoy national rock headliners and award winning ribs or sip some wine under the stars while singing the blues, no one does fall festivals like St. Pete/Clearwater. And best of all, many are free!
Oktoberfest
The 14th Annual Top 'o the Bay Oktoberfest brings the best of Old Bavaria and New Florida together for three full days of authentic German food, drink, music and dancing ... along with a spectacular carnival & midway, a great arts & crafts show, and the wildest array of audience participation contests including the World Keg Hurling Championships, which searches for a man-mountain or lady-heaver who will toss the aluminum obelisk into the next Millennium.

Dunedin Wines the Blues
Delightful Dunedin loves to celebrate! A party showcasing live blues and wine tasting from more than two dozen vineyards, the 19th Annual Dunedin Wines the Blues kicks off the area November festivals. With renowned performers like Grammy nominated John Lee Hooker, Jr., The Steve Arvey Horn Band and Kathy jo and the Bluzification Band, no wonder this event has grown to one of the largest this quaint city hosts in its downtown. A variety foods from local restaurants, as well as souvenir, art and craft vendors display their wares along Main Street. The event is free. Beer, wine, food and art available for purchase.

Ribfest 2009
Ribfest 2009 celebrates 20 years of rockin' ribs, family fun, and classic cars. This three day charity fundraiser features the best barbeque ribbers in the world, including traveling from all over the United States and some as far as Australia. It's not all about food though. National touring bands playing classic rock, southern and country hits will be jamming out all weekend long on 2 stages, including the george Thorogood and The Destroyers, the Zack Browen Band, the Ben Bryan Bankd and others. There are fun activities for kids too - making Ribfest a great place for a family outing. And don't miss the classic car and motorcycle show and new BMX bike event.

19th Annual Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic
"It's a Dixie and Swing Thing!" Traditional jazz and swing will once again fill the air at the 19th annual Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic. This event is the largest traditional festival in the state and one of the largest on the east coast. The Sheraton Sand Key Resort & Marriott Suites on Sand Key the Holiday Inn on Clearwater Beach will host a crowd of about 5,000 over three days. More than 20 bands will play in several venues, from gulf side to ballroom.
