The Legends Tour, the Official Legends Tour of the LPGA and comprised of the greatest female golfers of all time, will play its first major championship at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in November. The Legends Tour Open Championship will be contested on Innisbrook's Island Course from November 20-22, 2009, and feature a $300,000 purse.
The Tour has over 100 members, including nine LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame members, and its players have over 600 LPGA Tour victories and 55 major championships.
The 36-hole stroke play tournament, which is sanctioned by The Legends Tour, will feature two days of competition, a pro-am, and community outreach programs like children's and women's golf clinics. Tickets will be available via local charities as well as online and at the gate.

A three-day Masters Sand Sculpting Competition and Music Festival comes to Treasure Island, the Sand Sculpture Capital of Florida! Live local music, food, drinks, arts & crafts, kids stuff and some of the finest, over-the-top sand sculptures from professionals.
"It's a Dixie and Swing Thing!" Traditional jazz and swing will once again fill the air at the 19th annual Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic. This event is the largest traditional festival in the state and one of the largest on the east coast. Florida Craftsmen's annual celebration of American crafts moves to the GREAT OUTDOORS outside the doors of Florida Craftsmen Gallery, at the crossroads of Central Avenue and Fifth Street North in Beautiful Downtown St. Petersburg.
Judges will select artists to receive $15,000 in cash awards. For fifty-seven years, Florida Craftsmen has advanced and celebrated Florida's fine crafts, in St.Petersburg and around the state, through exhibitions, workshops and educational programs such as CraftArt.

The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg returns March 26-28, with the famed IndyCar Series auto racing.
