Little Luxuries: Antique Baby Rattles and Teethers

The tradition of teethers and rattles for babies is as old as humankind. During the Enlightenment and particularly in the nineteenth century, as the child had a more honored place in society, the variety and types of rattles increased in Europe and the United States. This exhibition contains a variety of rattles from a period of approximately three hundred years and in a range of materials, including gold, silver, tin, ivory, coral, and crystal. The Mystique of the Motorcycle

This exhibition features almost 100 motorcycles representing 32 manufacturers from the world-class collection of Trev Deeley, a motorcycle racer, owner of Canada's first Harley-Davidson dealership and holder of the only Harley-Davidson franchise in Canada. The bikes date from the turn-of-the-century to the modern day. Headliners include the best of show from manufacturers worldwide, including Triumph, BSA, Honda, Harley Davidson, Indian and Moto Guzzi.

Joan Miro: The Shape of Color Painted Sculpture

The exhibition covers the period from the late 1960s onward. These playful sculptures took their point of departure in found objects, which were cast in bronze and later painted bright colors. Dali and Miro, circa 1928

This exhibit is a companion to the Shape of Color that draws parallels between the two Surrealists and fellow Catalans. It features five works by Dali from the museum's collection from 1928, the year before Dali joined the Surrealist movement. Art for the People: Soviet Realism

This exhibit, in conjunction with with the 100/300 Celebration in St. Petersburg, features 22 portrait and genre paintings from many of the 13 former USSR republics during the Soviet era. The paintings show life in Soviet Russia through the eyes of the populace. For many years, the Western world did not get a glimpse inside the USSR. The 82nd edition of the St. Petersburg Festival of States is scheduled for April 4-13, chocked full of action packed events designed to attract audiences of all ages and tastes. Tampa Bay Blues Festival

The Sound Advice Tampa Bay Blues Festival returns to Vinoy Waterfront Park in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, April 4, 5 & 6, 2003. American Stage's Shakespeare in the Park

Sunsets Beach Fest

Every April, Sunsets Beach Fest attracts thousands to Pier 60 Park on Clearwater Beach for 3 days of great music, food and fun. This festival is set up on the sands south of Pier 60, featuring local and national artists in a variety of music styles. The Sunsets Beach Fest runs from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, with a "Tribute to Buffett". On Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. featuring an Egg Hunt for all of the kids and the music of THE TURTLES. Spring on the Flats Fishing Tournament

Proceeds from this catch and release tournament go to the Pinellas County Environmental Foundation (PCEF). The PCEF grant program benefits Tampa Bay and its watershed, including such projects as sea grass restoration, water quality improvements and environmental education. The two-day event begins with a Captain’s Meeting and Pairings Party at the tournament headquarters, the Renaissance Vinoy Resort. The tournament runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the fishing area includes Tampa Bay, its tributaries and the Gulf of Mexico. Herb Davis: South of Central

This exhibit features the pastel drawings of St. Petersburg, FL artist Herbert Davis. Trained at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Davis spent many years in the commercial advertising profession. David Williams: Old Meets New

In 2001, former St. Petersburg Times illustrator, David Williams, received a Florida Individual Artist Fellowship and spent the month of July 2002 working in a studio in Florence, Italy. American Stage: The Floridians

American Stage and the LiveArts Peninsula Foundation present the New Visions Series for 2003, entitled The Floridians.
