For lunch, pick from the many beachside restaurants where
seafood is specialty. Then head across the intracoastal to Largo and
visit the Florida Botanical Gardens, with more than 20 acres of tropical
gardens. Right next door, you’ll find Heritage Village, home of Pinellas
County’s largest Historical Museum as well as a scenic outdoor village of
22 buildings depicting the life of early Florida settlers.
If you’re in
the mood for a change of pace, drive to downtown St. Petersburg and end
the day at The Pier – a 5-story festival marketplace with great shops
and restaurants including the famous Colombia Restaurant, know for its
great Spanish fare.
