Mystic Chords: Illuminated Photographs by Connie Sullivan
This exhibition contains approximately 35 large-scale works that date from the last decade. Although in the more traditional black and white mode, photographer Connie Sullivans photographs are rooted in contemporary issues in photography. Her intense focus is closely related to her fascination with the historical life of the earth, although she shuns the palette of nature as well as the human figure and the illusion of depth. The majority of work in this exhibition are in fact transparencies mounted on light boxes, their luminosity suggesting an other-worldly character. For more information, call 727-896-2667.
