Kids Fishing Rodeo
This fishing tournament is held by the YMCA of the Suncoast to help faise funds for renovation of the Clearwater Branch YMCA. Chrysler Jeep Bay Fest
Chrysler Jeep Bay Fest is a three-day, outdoor, festival celebrating music, arts, food, family and culture. This three-day event will bring over 70 musical acts to the bay area, raning from nationally known arts to local up-and-comers. Fans will have the chance to check out four stages showcasing entertainment, a Battle of the Bands contest and enter drawings and contests.

American Stage's Shakespeare in the Park
The American Stage, St. Petersburg's professional theater, offers a live production of a William Shakespeare work in a beautiful outdoor setting. This year's performance is "Bomb-itty of Errors," a rapping, rhyming "Comedy of Errors," Shakespeare's tale of two sets of identical twins, separated as infants, who rediscover each other via a series of happy accidents and much pandemonium. Celebrating its 17th season, performances run Wednesday through Sunday on the waterfront at Demens Landing in downtown. The Dunedin Historical Museum presents this exhibit featuring artifacts from World War II. Dunedin was primarily a rural area during the War, but residents made considerable contributions. Florida International Museum Salutes Queen Elizabeth on her Golden Jubilee
In honor of Queen Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee, the Florida International Museum will salute her with a display that includes memorabilia dating back to 1837 and the reign of Queen Victoria. The museum is open year round, seven days a week. Monday through Saturday, the hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Last entry to the museum is at 4 p.m. daily. Museum of Fine Arts: Masterpieces of Photography
The twenty five images in this exhibit span from 1840-1980. Works by Henry Fox Talbot, Carleton Watkins, Alfred Stieglitz, Andre Kertesz, Paul Strand, Margaret Bourke-White, Russell Lee, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Robert Frank, Jerry Uelsmann and Patrick Nagatani will be on display. This exhibition features important selections from the Mennello Museum of American Folk Art Collection. It features the work of artists such as O.L. Samuels, Nellie Mae Rowe and Howard Finster. Folk art, or "outsider art," as it is often referred to, includes work created by untrained artists who are driven by emotional or spiritual needs to make objects for the expression of their unique messages, often using non-traditional materials. Mystic Chords: Illuminated Photographs by Connie Sullivan
This exhibition contains approximately 35 large-scale works that date from the last decade. Although in the more traditional black and white mode, photographer Connie Sullivan’s photographs are rooted in contemporary issues in photography. Her intense focus is closely related to her fascination with the historical life of the earth, although she shuns the palette of nature as well as the human figure and the illusion of depth. This exhibit will revisit the circus-like atmosphere of the store that grew to be a $30 million retail complex that covered several city blocks, selling everything from groceries to men's clothes.
