Some of the area’s best fishing is in the backwater grass flats. In addition to the breathtaking wildlife scenery of these unexplored parts, the shallow waters are a great place to catch Snook, Redfish, Trout and Tarpon.
Your best bet here is to go with an experienced guide who can take you out on a specialized flats boat, guiding you along with a pole from the stern of the boat. Wind, tides, water temperatures and phases of the moon all play a part in flats fishing success, so having an experienced guide can really improve your chances. |
