St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Storm Outlook

The St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area – Florida’s Beach is currently NOT experiencing storm conditions. The area may receive winds as high as 25 miles per hour on Wednesday afternoon due to Tropical Storm Ernesto. If you are planning to visit our area in the future, please tour our website for information on the area. Those who currently have plans to visit the area in the next few days should monitor media outlets and this site for updates. We recommend that you contact your individual accommodation and travel agent or tour operator to verify their situation.

The St. Petersburg/Clearwater area is located in the Central section of Florida directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the west coast. The area is 90 miles southwest of Walt Disney World and directly west of Tampa. It is north of the Sarasota/Bradenton area and south of New Port Richey and Pasco County.

CURRENT STORM INFORMATION:

Tropical Storm Ernesto is not forecast to have much of an impact on the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area. However, a change in the storm's course is possible. It is possible that the area will see winds of up to 25 miles per hour on Wednesday, Aug. 30. Currently all accommodations, attractions, beaches and restaurants in the area are open.
