One of the largest lighted boat parades in the area, St. Petersburg's annual event starts at sundown and goes from the Harborage Marina north past the Pier to the Vinoy Basin. The 21st Annual MLK Drum Major for Justice National Parade

The 21st Annual Drum Major for Justice National Parade begins at 1:15 p.m. The parade route begins at Third Ave S and Martin Luther King St., goes north to Central Ave., east to Bay Bayshore Drive and north to Fifth Ave N., disbanding at Vinoy Park. The celebration also includes the Martin Luther King Jr. Festival of Bands competition, which features several renowned marching bands as they perform in a special salute to Dr. King. Sixth Annual Cajun/Zydeco Crawfish Festival

We do not have the official dates for this event, but it is usually held in March.Laissez les bon temps roulet! Louisiana comes to St. Petersburg for this tasty treat of a festival. Live music fills the air and 10,000 pounds of crawfish jambalaya, etouffe, funnel cakes and assorted Cajun cuisine will fill the festival attendees. Entertainment will include Geno Delafose & French Rockin Boogie, Roy Carrier & The Night Rockers, Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys, Kevin Naquin and The Ossun Playboys, The Porchdogs and Bousoleil Avec Michael Doucet! The festival will be held under a 20,000 sq. ft. pavilion and will include a kid's tent for families. Admission is $10 per day or $25 for a three-day pass. Children 10 and under are admitted free. Thousands of people walk, run and jog along St. Petersburg?s waterfront during an evening filled with glowing luminaries and the sounds of sleigh bells in the air. The course starts and finishes at The Pier with festive music on the first floor rear patio. There is a registration fee of $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12.
