For the discriminating golfer who prefers a challenge, this Ron Garl-designed 18-hole championship course is as beautiful as it is challenging. Not your typical Florida course, the front nine has rolling fairways with plenty of mounding; the back nine is through dense woods with undulating, rolling greens. A semi-private country, The River Club is open to the public seven days a week and is recommended for serious golfers. Memberships are still available! The restaraunt offers panaramic views of the golf course, and is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Other amenities include a full service pro-shop, lessons, driving range, tennis courts, pool, lounge and banquet facilities. Tee times are available two days in advance and proper golf attired is required. Golf Digest rates The River Club four stars in "Places to Play." Florida Sports Fan Magazine rates The River Club in the top 50 courses in the state. We feel it is a course you must try while visiting the west coast of Florida.
