New expanded listings feature detailed diagrams of exhibit and function space from area meeting facilities and properties. The guide also features new information on the CVB’s On-Line Meeting Planner Guide, top conference facilities, food, transportation, golf and other items of interest. Venues are conveniently categorized by total square feet of exhibit and meeting space; banquet-, theater-, classroom- and reception-style capacities; number of breakout rooms and their dimensions. A detailed locator map underlines the convenient highway and airport access to the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area, its many top-ranked Gulf Coast beaches and its proximity to Busch Gardens (45 minutes away) and Walt Disney World and EPCOT Center, just 90 minutes away. A fax-back response form inside the back cover of the brochure lets meeting planners send the CVB’s Meetings & Conventions Department information about their upcoming events with the option of having the Bureau assist in locating the right venue. Tropicana Field Home to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Tropicana Field has 140,000 total square feet of exhibit space and is ideal for consumer and trade shows. Just 30 minutes from major airports, the venue also features a barber shop/hair salon, postal office, bank-teller service, 350-seat restaurant (open year-round) and cigar bar. Special group tours of the facility can be arranged. Harborview Center Located in the heart of downtown Clearwater, Harborview Center has breathtaking skyline and harbor views. The Center features a 30,000 square foot exhibit hall that can accommodate up to 180 8’ x 10’ exhibit booths. Harborview also has conference, meeting and banquet space for groups of 40 to 1,400 and is within 15 minutes of more than 4,000 hotel rooms. Bayfront Center and Mahaffey Theater Complex Bayfront Center exhibit space comes to 23,500 square feet and can provide seating for 8,140. The Mahaffey Theater is the ideal setting for general sessions or special presentations for up to 2,000 people. The theater also has European-style boxes for VIPs. The Sun Pavilion Room is a 3,850-square-foot meeting room and banquet space. There’s also a backstage lounge overlooking Tampa Bay.
