14th Annual Tarpon Rotary Spring Triathlon
The Tarpon Springs Rotary Club sponsors this triathlon each to year to raise funds for worthy causes. Participants will swim 1/4 mile, bike 10.5 miles and run 3 miles. Race will be held at Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs. For more information, call 727-736-5454.

Mystery Sea Creature Hunt

Smithsonian Kids Bridge asks school children, "What's in Your Head?" At the Kids Bridge booth, children can draw their friend's silhouette and add drawings of their own thoughts. Webb's City: A Community Remembers
This exhibit will revisit the circus-like atmosphere of the store that grew to be a $30 million retail complex that covered several city blocks, selling everything from groceries to men's clothes. The exhibit will explore Webb's City years of dynamic, energetic ideas and hoopla, such as talking mermaids and chickens and chimp acts, that helped draw an average of 60,000 customers a day. Art After School
With its outstanding collection of world art and exciting special exhibitions, the Museum of Fine Arts is the perfect place for children to learn and discover. Figurative Elements: All Florida Juried Exhibition
Juror Michael Milkovich, Director Emeritus of the St. Petersburg Museum of Arts, picked 40 works from 400 submissions from artists working in Florida. Most came from artists working in the Tampa Bay area. Artists are students as well as established professionals and submitted work in all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber glass, wood, metals and stone. Tuesday Night/Saturday Morning
Every Tuesday night, Arts Center students under instruction from Kyu Yamamoto build clay sculptures from live models. Every Saturday, students study live models and render what they see on paper. Past Perfect/Present Tense
The Florida Craftsmen Gallery kicks of the celebration of the organization's 50th anniversary with Past Perfect/Present Tense, a curated exhibition featuring winners from the historical, Statewide Florida Craftsmen Annual Exhibitions. The show features the artists' earlier award-winning piece side by side with their current work. TIME Magazine's Person of the Year at 75 Exhibit
Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year at 75' is a multimedia exhibit recognizing those who have had an enormous impact on the course of history. 2002 marks the 75th anniversary of TIME's Person of the Year tradition. The Florida Focus exhibition at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art is designed to explore the state of contemporary art in Florida. Love and Death: Dali and Two French Writers
Two never-before-exhibited suites of etchings by Dali from the museum's permanent collection are featured in this exhibit. The etchings, which survey the themes of love and death, illustrate the works of two French writers: Guillaume Apollinaire and Andre Malraux. Dali Objects/Dali Fetishes
This is an intimate exhibition of four of Dali's most intriguing object-creations originally dating from the 1930s, representing his contribution to a category of surrealist work known as the "surreal object."
