20. Seminole

Seminole, incorporated in 1970, is 2.2 square miles in size. With service its population is 9,824, but jumps to 90,000 residents when you include unincorporated areas nearby. This unique community is characterized by a small, hometown atmosphere. It is home to St. Petersburg Junior College's largest and most technologically advanced campus and to Lake Seminole Park. This 259-acre park features individual and group picnicking facilities, a large play area, and a 2-mile-long recreation trail. The park also has a boat ramp accessing Lake Seminole for boating, fishing, and water-skiing.
