As IndyCars roar through our city streets, you'll thrill to the speed and spectacular skill exhibited by racing's greatest talents. It's the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, a three-day event featuring the IndyCar Series, Indy Pro Series and American Le Mans Series, scheduled for March 30–April 1, 2007.
Don't Miss Out! This event is the only opportunity you'll have in the U.S. to see world-class IRL racing on city streets. Now in it's third year, this premier open-wheel serices race is run on a waterfront circuit that inclues a combination of adjacent downtown streets circling various landmarks and extends to Albert Whitted Airport, overlooking the Bay and picturesque St. Petersburg Harbor and Marina.
Racing and More! In addition to all the exciting races, the Honda Grand Prix features concerts, exhibitions, family entertainment and interactive attractions during the three day event.
Multi-platinum selling band Los Lobos performs Saturday, March 31, approximately 30 minutes after the checkered flag. Presented by XM Radio, the concert takes place at the Honda Plaza inside the race circuit and is included in Saturday's race day ticket.
Put It In Neutral. As much fun as it is to gear up for great auto racing, you'll have just as much fun winding down along St. Petersburg/ Clearwater's 35 miles of pristine award-winning beaches, known worldwide as Florida's Beach. In fact, in 2006 and 2007, Caladesi Island was ranked America's No. 2 Beach; in 2008, it received top billing in the nation. You'll also find Clearwater Beach, often referred to as the Best Activity Beach on the Gulf of Mexico.
