Stay Green in St. Pete/ Clearwater

 
The Florida Green Lodging Program recognizes and rewards environmentally conscientious lodging facilities in the state. It was established in 2004 by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and is unique in that it covers an all-inclusive list of environmental initiatives that are specific to Florida.

To be designated a member of the Florida Green Lodging Program hotels must implement a variety of green practices, including water conservation measures, energy efficiency, waste reduction, the use of green cleaners and other conservation measures.

Want to stay green when you are in the St. Pete/Clearwater area? Several favorite local resorts have recently been awarded a Green Lodging Certification in recognition of their efforts to protect the area's natural resources.
