Tying The Knot

If you’re looking to get married along Florida’s Beach, congratulations are in order. First, on the arrival of what can be a magical moment in your life. And also, for preparing to celebrate it in our paradise.

A license may be obtained between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., at the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court. Offices are in the Clearwater Courthouse (315 Court St.), as well as the North County Branch (29582 U.S. 19 N. in Clearwater), the South County Branch (1800 66th St. N. in St. Petersburg) and the St. Petersburg Branch (545 First Ave. N.).

Both parties must be present at the Clerk’s Office, but a blood test is not necessary in the state of Florida. Your wedding ceremony must be performed within 60 days of the issuance of the license.

Also, a prerecorded information line about marriage licenses in Pinellas County is available at 464-4700. You may speak to a clerk at that number from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Information also is available on the Marriage License Department page of the website for the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Pinellas County.
