If youre fortunate enough to have a boat in Florida, the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area has plenty of options for housing everything from fishing boats to luxury cruisers. No matter what part of the area youre in, youre likely to find a marina that meets your needs.
The Clearwater Municipal Marina is a 220-slip, full-service marina that is open every day of the year. Services and amenities include free sewage pump-outs, 24-hour security, a mini-mart and a bait house. If you want to stay a while, you can enjoy the seafood restaurant, fishing pier and on-site access to water sports. If youre ready to go, theres no drawbridge between the marina and the Gulf of Mexico, so youre that much closer to open water.
Heading south to St. Pete Beach, youll find Blind Pass Marina, which has earned a Clean Marina flag and is also licensed as a live-aboard marina. Services and amenities include pump-out services (fees included in slip rental charge), free parking and a restaurant. There is easy access to the Gulf through John's Pass or the Pass-a-Grille Channel.
Across the county on the bayfront, the St. Petersburg Marina offers several services and amenities from its prime location in downtown St. Petersburg. Extensive renovations are underway and all slips are expected to re-open in 2007.
