2006 Marine Max Lighted Boat Parade

Downtown St. Petersburg 800 2nd Avenue NE St. Petersburg, FL 33701 One of the largest lighted boat parades in the area, St. Petersburg's annual event starts at sundown and goes from the Harborage Marina north past the Pier to the Vinoy Basin. The Pier and surrounding parks offer great spots for parade watching and feature a host of activities associated with the event. 21st Annual Gulfport Lighted Boat Parade

Downtown Gulfport 5500 Shore Blvd S Gulfport, FL 33707 The city of Gulfport, just west of St. Petersburg, starts its lighted boat parade from the Boca Ciega Yacht Club. The route goes from the yacht club marina, past the city pier and municipal beach, and through several areas along Boca Ciega Bay. Old Northeast Candlelight Tour

NE St. Petersburg St. Petersburg, FL 33701 A highlight of the holiday season returns to St. Petersburg when the Ninth Annual Historic Old Northeast Candlelight Tour of Homes allows visitors a rare glimpse inside some of this community's loveliest homes decked out in their holiday finest. A popular tradition since 1997, the Old Northeast Candlelight Tour allows visitors, on foot or riding trolleys staffed by seasoned guides, to visit homes representing many architectural styles. This year's tour will feature eight homes, including a charmingly renovated cottage, renovated Florida bungalows, a modern townhome in a 1920's Spanish-style apartment building and a prominent landmark home. Boley Center's Annual Jingle Bell Run

St. Petersburg, FL 33701-3521 Thousands of people walk, run and jog along St. Petersburg?s waterfront during an evening filled with glowing luminaries and the sounds of sleigh bells in the air. The course starts and finishes at The Pier with festive music on the first floor rear patio. There is a registration fee of $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12. 33rd Annual Art Festival Beth-El

The 33rd annual show and sale features more than 120 invited artists from more than 20 states. The show offers paintings, ceramics, photography, jewelry, sculpture and glass. The 21st Annual MLK Drum Major for Justice National Parade

Downtown St. Petersburg 800 2nd Avenue NE St. Petersburg, FL 33701 The 21st Annual Drum Major for Justice National Parade begins at 1:15 p.m. The parade route begins at Third Ave S and Martin Luther King St., goes north to Central Ave., east to Bay Bayshore Drive and north to Fifth Ave N., disbanding at Vinoy Park. The celebration also includes the Martin Luther King Jr. Festival of Bands competition, which features several renowned marching bands as they perform in a special salute to Dr. King. Sixth Annual Cajun/Zydeco Crawfish Festival

Louisiana comes to St. Petersburg for this tasty treat of a festival. Live music fills the air and 10,000 pounds of crawfish jambalaya, etouffe, funnel cakes and assorted Cajun cuisine will fill the festival attendees. Entertainment will include Geno Delafose & French Rockin Boogie, Roy Carrier & The Night Rockers, Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys, Kevin Naquin and The Ossun Playboys, The Porchdogs and Bousoleil Avec Michael Doucet! The festival will be held under a 20,000 sq. ft. pavilion and will include a kid's tent for families. Admission is $10 per day or $25 for a three-day pass. Children 10 and under are admitted free.
