In the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area, diverse locations exist side-by-side.
All kinds of water-related locations abound in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater
area: beaches, coves, tropical keys, waterways, lakes and creeks. The Gulf
of Mexico is suited to filming on the water because it doesn't have the
heavy waves of the Pacific or Atlantic oceans.
We have neighborhoods that look like Cleveland; streets in the Latin Quarter;
and pine and oak woodlands. You can be on your set at a remote, deserted
beach, while there's a store 10 minutes up the road.
Tampa, just across the bay, offers a whole different slate of location opportunities,
including heavy industry, historic neighborhoods and "big city" urban. Our
film office works seamlessly with the Tampa Film Commission.
Travel in and around the Tampa Bay region is especially easy compared to
most US cities. Urban centers are connected by expressway, thus minimizing
downtime. For example, you can get from downtown Tampa to a deserted beach
in 30 minutes. Tampa
International Airport offers non-stop flights to all major US cities.
