Indian Shores

The Florida’s Beach community of Indian Shores is a quiet beach community to the south of Clearwater Beach. With a residential quality, visitors to Indian Shores feel right at home. Indian Shores is also home to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, a non-profit agency dedicated to the care and release of injured birds, native to the Gulf Coast. Seabird Sanctuary is open daily to the public and admission is free.

Indian Shores has over two miles of sandy beach to enjoy, along with beach activities that include swimming, shelling, sunbathing, and fishing. With a variety of shops, restaurants, and accommodations, there are plenty of choices for the visitor.

Visit Town Square Nature Park; and take a stroll on the 800-foot Boardwalk that tracks through beautiful, natural Florida landscapes to a fishing pier. Or visit Mayor Bob McEwen Veterans Park, located on the Intracoastal Waterway, the park offers several picnic benches, barbeques and sometimes some excellent fishing.

Tiki Gardens public beach access, formerly a well-known tourist attraction, is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. While Indian Shores was initially developed in the 1920’s as a weekend destination for wealthy inland residents, today this Florida’s Beach community is a popular getaway destination for visitors from all over the world.
